Please be aware that several of the kiddies from the so-called "Micronational Cartographic Society" - a group of British micronation fantasy role-playing gamers - have decided to spice up their lives by initiating a rolling series of IP denial of service attacks on the server on which the listofmicronations.com site is hosted.
...so be aware that the LOM website and wiki may periodically go offline until someone gives those responsible the spanking they deserve.
hmmm... given his obsession with spanking, maybe we can sic Yan onto them.
;D

Being the Administrator General of the MCS, I find this highly pathetic (as I do any of you interaction on our forum). If, for whatever reason, your site has experienced attacks, let me reassure you that they were done by nobody affiliated with the MCS, nor even proposed/sanctioned by us. I believe the only reason you've tried to pin this on the MCS (that's if anything's even happened at all!) is because you were banned on our forum yesterday (after being involved in a rather extensive troll war). In fact, you evaded the original ban as I was too nice to you and only blocked your initial account, but then you even went out of you way to evade a full IP ban only to attempt to partake in more pathetic arguments with people you consider to be lesser beings and not worth your time. Ironic. If necessary, you (and anyone else) can see all this here Now, I wonder how long this post will remain in this thread before it's edited/deleted to try and worsen our reputation, or to make you seem less pathetic...

Mr Pellegrino (if that is indeed your actual human name on planet Earth). Thank you for posting the link above. People here will undoubtedly be as entertained by the abusive hysterics that you and your teen gamer gang commonly engage in over at the so-called "Micronational Cartographic Society" as I was. Sadly, as you are, in my estimation, a blithering idiot who is entirely lacking in credibility, I am rather inclined to disbelieve your oh-so-very-loud protestations of innocence concerning the denial of service attacks which - for some strange reason - began at almost exactly the moment that you suffered your latest meltdown, and blocked my account. I will say nothing further on this subject other than to point out that under the UK Police and Justice Act (2006), the United Kingdom specifically outlawed denial-of-service attacks and set a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison for those convicted of engaging in it. Similar penalties apply in the United States and most other jurisdictions. You may wish to share the above information with your friend, Joshua Coales, who I understand owns and manages the server on which the MCS site and its associated functionalities is hosted. Have a nice day.

My legal (actual human) name is quite well-known amongst the micronational community, actually. Good try though. I'm sure they will be. I hope they'll also be as amused and baffled by your childish antics and pathetic attitude as we were too. Funny you say that though, George. If we have to get personal (as you always seem to have to as you can never seem to form a mature enough argument to stand on) about people we have never met and don't even know, then I happen to find you a blithering idiot entirely lacking credability too. Sorry to say, I'm not as pathetic as you [try to make me out] and I haven't even considered making any attacks on you or your website (let alone having the capabilities to do so!). Thank you for quoting that rather irrelevant law for me though. But, in case you want to keep-on pointing the finger at me/the MCS for the "attacks" on your site (evidence of which has yet to be seen/created by you), may I remind you of the law of libel? Thanks. I believe Joshua can read himself, so if he stumbles upon this, he'll laugh at it too. You are correct about his position within the hosting and upkeep of the MCS website and forum though. Well done you.

The Gospel according to Google: Micronation + epic + fail = youI realise you're still only ranked number 2 out of 7960 search results, but hey, keep it up and I'm sure you can make it to numero uno eventually.

I would encourage anyone with an interest in precipitating a grand mal brain seizure to review the discussion hereIt can be summarised thusly: 1. I posted a couple of well-reasoned comments about the nature of micronations as a general phenomenon, which refuted the prior observations a person using the pseudonym "Sai Kar" had posted to the discussion, which in turn had been based on the "secessionist vs simulationist" furphy. 2. Sai Kar responded favourably and respectfully. 3. A person using the pseudonym "Artz" then became quite hysterical, for no discernible reason, and posted a delerious rant which appeared to imply that 'saying that you like something means that you must also hate something, and therefore I conclude that you hate us'. Artz has a long track record of wildly missing the point and becoming hysterical in this manner. 4. I pithily suggested that perhaps Artz might have a greater chance of marshalling and communicating her thoughts effectively if she typed them in a way that adhered to standard English more closely. 5. Scott Cairney (aka Cairney) then posted to the forum a picture of me taken by Agence France Presse earlier in 2010. This apparently means that he's a real wit, because in the MCS universe, any micronationalist who does anything (in the real world) that can be photographed or (heaven forfend!) written about by someone other than themself is a delusional insane pompous hypocrite, too stupid to realise the world is laughing at them behind their back. Why? No reason... but if you say it often enough, one day you might actually believe it's more than just a very very sad and very very obvious rationalisation for those who have neither the means nor the motivation to do anything tangible or noteworthy in a universe that doesn't consist solely of pixels. 6. I drew attention to the above. 7. Cairney became even "wittier", by posting several more progressivel enlarged pictures of me which demonstrated that I exist. Or something. (remember, existing is bad; see 5 above) This "epic hilarity" was the cue for an all-in brawl, in which a conga-line of pseudonymous teens strove to outdo each other in declaring that Cairney's "awesomeness" obviously meant I was pompous, gibbering, angry, lonely, sad, raving, hysterical, deluded, sick, deranged and a long list of other imagined dysfunctions. However, these people rather blunted the thrust of their observations by issuing them in a manner that ranged from the "supercilliously terminally constipated" through to the "hysterically deranged raving". 8. I responded to this barrage of nonsense as I usually do when confronted by ignorant presumption and general foolishness: by posting 2 or 3-line responses with succinctly and pointedly made mincemeat of the "arguments" in question. Almost inevitably, all of my observations went completely over the heads of the MCS membership, leading to yet futher psychedelic permutations of Chinese whispered hysteria concerning my general all-encompassing totally evil lameness. 9. The various MCS members involved became more and more befuddled and enraged by my utter failure to conform to their fervent religious conviction that they had succeeded in provoking me into some sort of red-eyed volcanic rage which would result in my storming off in a huff having been "roundly defeated" by the combined might of their almighty bitching "any moment now". Eventually the forum administrator became so infuriated that "any moment now" resolutely failed to arrive, that he perched himself on his ivory thunderbox and blocked my account from upon high. In this way the delicate intellects of most of the MCS membership would (he no doubt reasoned) be spared the inconvenient if not downright offensive business of having to learn to think. 10. And they're still bitching about it/me, like so many headless epileptic chooks - which just goes to show that if you want to buy a dying forum full of halfwits some time, mass-hysteria is your friend. Unfortunately when the delusion passes, you're left with not very much of any consequence at all. THE END ;D

Further to the comment immediately above: please refer to the topic heading. 10. And they're still bitching about it/me I'm just pitying and patronising you now, George. If anyone's bitching, it's the person posting lengthy, attempted-insult-ridden, numbered posts about events which have now ended. To avoid any further confusion, that'd be you.

It has all been rather fun - but unless you're going to start engaging in something that resembles rational discourse, and stop posting comments that are merely endless permutations of the "I hate you because you say things that I can't refute because they're well-reasoned and true" theme, I'm going to require you to not waste any more of our time by posting further comments here.
Your behaviour to date in this discussion has left the distinct impression that you may well be a major league wally; best you not persist, lest in your enthusiastic embrace of repetition, you incontrovertibly confirm it.

Hey, I may be a lamearse, but at least I'm not British! Also, I'm the aforementioned Sai'Kar on MCS. I go by Harvey most other places these days. Not that you particularly care, but I'm just sayin'.

Well, in my limited experience you do seem to know how to write whole coherent sentences, don't view the entire universe outside MCS as a lunatic asylum in which you are the only sane member because "reality is evil", and also don't seem to subscribe to the notion that ideas you disagree with are a threat to your self esteem...
...so lamearsedness is probably not something you need to worry about.
Indeed, that debility seems to be a peculiarity of the British MCS membership. Then again, if I lived in that grim and crowded land I'd probably also spend most of my time being angry, confused, depressed and mentally constipated too.
;D

"I hate you because you say things that I can't refute because they're well-reasoned and true" I have never said I hate you. Don't get so paranoid, George. Maybe it's the hypocrisy that stems from the paranoia. I'm beginning to feel sorry for you now, inbetween the chuckling and eye-rolling, of course...

Focus more on the chuckling and less on the maudlin pitying and cynical eye-rolling and you'll discover that life in general - and at this forum in particular - is a far more pleasant and personally rewarding experience.
With that in mind, given that everyone who wanted to speak their mind on this subject has probably done so, I judge this an opportune moment to send it to the elysian fields for locked threads.
