It might be of some interest, that the Talossan Republic and the Talossan Kingdom, seperated since a revolution in 2004, are about to reunite this nationette, that turned 32 years old on Dec. 26. Wish us luck.

Woo-hoo!
Did the Republic submit due to the population problem? Are there any conditions / reserved rights from either party? Are you happy with the result?

While the number of citizens remained stable, indeed the activity level in the Talossan Republic was dramatically decreasing; so we thought that the only way to avoid a slowly progressing breakup would be joining the larger sibling state.
Yet the unification has to be negotiated. As the negotiations are work in progress (and as I am in the negotiation team that is cooperating confidently), I cannot say much about details, except that the then former Republicans may be assigned to a province of their own, once a unification contract has been signed and the parliaments have given their okay.
Anyway, bot sides are enthusiastic about a possible unification and seem to be optimistic that the negotiations will come to a fair and successful end.
