As the LOM portal's reigning Head Honcho, Spangle of the Cosmos, Guru in Chief, Defender from Fools and Smiter of Cretins, I am delighted to foreshadow some important changes to both our wiki and forum.
The proposed changes should make the abovenamed features significantly more user-friendly, and go no small way to ensuring that LOM continues to set the standard by which others are judged.
Stand by for further updates over the next few days weeks months.

The LOM wiki is in the process of moving too a new home!
The new wiki will be using Mediawiki and it will be hosted on listofmicronations.com
Are there any mediawiki gurus amongst our membership? I really suck at things like templates,if you've got some time to spare, can volunteer to do some needful things on the new mediawiki install, and would like to acquire that sense of awesome power that can only be conferred by admin access to a wiki, get in touch with me by private message.

Jason has beaten me to the punch, but yes, our wiki is about to become a lot more user-friendly - not to mention downright sexy.
By using Mediawiki things will look and function very similar to Wikipedia, which will make creating and managing content much easier than it has been.
On the down side, it's going to take a while to transfer all the existing content across, and everyone who wants to contribute will need to register a new account.
Stand by for further updates!... and maybe even a link to the URL.

I am pleased to announce that the new LOM wiki (which we will be calling lomwiki, funnily enough) is operational. Jason and I are currently busy driving ourselves to distraction as we go about setting up all the necessary article templates and infoboxes, establishing style guides and editing rules, and transferring articles from the old wiki. When we have progressed a little further down this path lomwiki will be revealed to the world, and contributions from the wider LOM membership will be invited. You'll need to bear with us for just a bit longer on this one, though. Micro Wiki is dead! Long live lomwiki!

In case anyone was wondering about the whereabouts of the long-awaited new LOM wiki, rest easy!
I've decided to formally launch it at PoliNation.
Until then the URL stays under wraps, while I frantically fill it with useful content.
Needless to say it looks damned fine (even if I do say so myself)... as Jason will surely confirm.
;-)

Any chance we could clean up a few of the unneeded and or unused sticky threads?

I'm keeping this as a sticky until we (ie you) figure out how to transition the forum to my server...

Forum is easy, message archives not so. Proboards are arseholes, no access to the database, means to copy the content we need to scrape.
Probably not impossible.
