Methinks that dwarf-throwing by Putin (with Nicolas Sarkozy as the dwarf) would also be somewhat entertaining :-)

Putin vs. Mugabe? Sweet. Wait, alone or with their henchmen in the shadows? I'd still put my money on Putin.
@george: In Soviet Russia, dwarf throws you!

To All --- but especially George:
As another dwarf once said, "That still only counts as one!"

Ah indeed. Where would we be without Lord of the Onion Rings?
Well, for starters, there'd be a lot less demented elven poetry in existence.

As a mythology scholar, I have to make it straight:
The so-called "Elves" as described in "Lord of the Boring" are no elves at all.
The elves are tiny air-spirits, stupid and useless, but still nice in the landscape.
These pointy-eared ephebes wearing tights are just recycled Vulcans.
And like any Vulcans, they are plain boring.
Long live the Dwarves!!! (Dwarves make beer)

Heyla, This from a "wolf" that created a nation of "wolves" --- (as we go trippingly down the "off topic" corridor) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._R._R._Tolkien%27s_influenceshttp://www. wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Silmarillion As you can see, I – on the other hand – am a huge fan of Tolkien, LOTR, Orlando Bloom, Viggo Mortenson, and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons --- and I won’t even bother to tell you how many times I saw the triology (each one)… since you can probably guess that it was more than just a few times. In books (and movies) of this sort, the Elves were often used as a stylized, “perfect,” depiction of what (the author believed) humans were (eventually) capable of. [Personal note: maybe I should stop ranting now, since it might look like the “normal” human race disappoints me so often that I’d rather be an Elf. Well, maybe, but I won’t be spending money pointing my ears anytime soon, since it’s what’s inside that counts. Rant over]

I think LOTR would have been far more interesting (and about 6 hours shorter) if Galadriel had just taken the damned Ring.
