...I contacted US President Obama about my country's "independence"? I did it out of haste, and I am now worried that i'll be arrested.

Ah, the simplicity of youth. Here's the deal; you're probably fine. As long as you aren't breaking any rules and don't draw attention to yourself as anti-government, you shouldn't worry. It's when you spread assassination propaganda and start building a fully armed compound that they'll come after you.
If you're still around and growing strong five years from now, then maybe you'll get noticed. In the meantime I would read about diplomacy protocol, create some policy that gives your project a reason to exist and start working toward that end.
Good luck!

Thanks a plenty - I was just making sure because... well I know they are corrupt and I didn't want to see myself be beheaded.

Basically Dagostinia is correctly.
Your claim, is likely to be ignored, unless you meet some criteria. While the criteria is a closely guarded secret, its more than likely to include some if not all of the following.
You have done this many times before and appear to be growing and gaining support. You have an Anti-US or Anti-Government stance. You are linked to a criminal organization or have links to known terrorist orgs. You use Hatred or similar speech/text in what you say. You promote or incite violence or public disorder. etc etc
Many have done what you have done before with little or no response. But then again it can be different depending on who you are, age, and background and your wording.

Also, the US government is not known for endorsing decapitation as a means of execution.

Nor is it technically possible to see one's self being beheaded. The head generally leaves the body, eyes forward. You contacted me directly at my email address but I think it best to bring the conversation back here to the board for future new micronationalists to find. You wrote: First off, making demands of others' time is not acceptable. So here I am 45 hours later addressing your question. Why? Merely to spite you? No. Because I'm trying to make an online example of you? No. Because I simply was not able or willing to reply within 24 hours. What you have committed is the exact opposite of diplomacy. Diplomacy should treat others as more important (or at least make them think you are treating them as more important). I quoted your email in entirety; you may notice a lack of a formal greeting. While I hate giving boilerplates, try this next time: Yeah, that looks better. On the forum I would say you could loosen up the rules a bit. But for purposeful personal communication, dress it up a few notches. As for where to find info, well, I once heard that praying to the great god Google could yield results. I popped in "rules of diplomacy" and found that the top results may help. A simple easy one to start with can be found at www.peace.ca/diplomacyrules1.htmGood luck in the micronational world!

Heyla to HM King Christian I:
I have heard of others doing as you yourself have done, and they have witnessed – reportedly – many varying results… from nothing at all to reputed spying of their communications lines, interruption of their Internet access, being followed by unmarked vehicles, etc.
Simply present yourself as a group of people interested in investigating the possibility of a socio-political, or spiritual/philosophical, community interested in outreach, etc. gather no questionable people, modern weapons or militia, and be careful of what you teach.
Hide within “plain sight,” without it seeming that you are [hiding] and it certainly wouldn’t hurt your reputation to “do good,” in some way or another (ecological, educational, social, etc.) One never knows what benefit might accrue with the doing of “good deeds,” and it might also gain you “converts.”
Good luck to you -------

I apologize; i am new to the phenomenon. I will be more formal in messages for now on. 2. I will see where that leads me. 2B. It led me to the rules of the GAME Diplomacy

As its eyes are on the end of flexible stalks, a snail could - in theory - watch itself being decapitated.
However, the possibility is contingent on (a) whether snails actually possess a disarticulatable "head", and (b) whether the act of separating the snail "head" from the snail "body" is something any snail posesses the capacity to be aware of in any meaningful way.
My, we sure do explore some interesting philosophical byways round these parts, huh!

How did this turn into watching yourself be beheaded (lol)? This was originally... talking about me being worried that I e-mailed the President of the USA.

...I didn't want to see myself be beheaded. That's how. Give us an inch / centimetre, and we'll take several miles / kilometres... ;D

Actually, with a mirror you can see yourself being beheaded but it is usually quite short before you get bored to death.
