Troy Davis died today opinions. Personally, in my opinion, he didn't get a fair trail because he was a black.

Is this being posted because of the subject of executions in general, or because of the individual himself? I ask this because, even though none of our nations have the tacit authority to execute any criminal within our "borders," our opinions re: our state's taking a life says something about such an act, and the thoughts behind such an act. As I write this, I realize that what I should do is create another poll for the purposes of seeing what the landscape is about this concept. I'll begin that now.....

While I'm not a supporter of the Death Penalty, after reading several articles on this person, I don't really see much reason for him to be spared, atleast life in prison for his actions.

The issue with Davis is that there is significant doubt about his guilt.
If you are going to have the "death penalty", you do not execute people because you're 85%, 95% or 99% certain "they done it"; you execute only those whose guilt is established beyond all reasonable doubt.

Agreed, Casey Anothy deserves it because there is NO doubt however.

If murder is sentenced with murder, let's execute those who take the lives of other people: let's execute the States!
There's no justice in death penalty, it's a diversion for angry people.

I think the death penalty is justified for Britney Spears and anyone who wears a beige polyester safari suit.
