Inspired by the Formorian campaign, we have been trying to show our flag in various countries of the world and share the pictures. So far, the Jirmanian flag has been spotted in many European, two South American, and three micronational countries. New additions are: Colmar (FR), Biberach an der Riß (DE), Ulm (DE)

Nice pics, as usual!!! Now, just for fun, let's get some statistics! I've counted that the Formori flag was displayed in 53 locations spread over 4 continents, 24 sovereign states, 4 autonomous regions, 4 dependencies and 3 micronations. Meanwhile, the Jirmanian flag was displayed in 42 locations over 2 continents, 18 sovereign states and 3 micronations. We have 7 countries in common (Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco and The Netherlands) and in these we have 3 locations in common (Berlin, Monaco and Paris). And finally, we nearly have the same picture next to the Louvre's pyramid in Paris: This is quite funny since photos are not allowed there! ;D I wish more nations would join the game. Recently, I found one: ( more details in the wiki) If I remember well, some others did, some time ago (there was a picture taken next to the Panama Canal and some others in the Caribbean). Are some of these flag-holders around?

Is it that I'm just still tired and sleepy, or does this Formorian look remotely like President Sarkozy? ;D

Thank you for the statistics, Sogoln! I do hope that more nations will jump in!
BTW I had no idea that you can't take photos in Louvre. Funny indeed!

Did they tell you why it is forbidden? I would understand if taking photos inside of the museum is not allowed, for a variety of reasons, but outside? That's unusual practice in Western Europe, I'd say.

I remember there was a problem with photographing some part of the Pyramid.
I also remeber that when I was told, I thought this was pure nonsense.

Jirmanians love France, apparently. The newest pictures are from Dijon, the capital of Burgundy (I believe): I really like the second one!

I've been there in 2006 and I really loved the place.
The contrast with Martinique is blatant and should be taken into consideration by local independentists...
How much of your economical well-being, healthcare, public services and infrastructures are you ready to sacrifice to achieve political independence? All the more if you are a bored citizen who takes democracy for granted and forgets to vote most of the time...
St-Lucians were not asked and I bet most of them would have prefered less political independence and more Commonwealth money poured in.
Note: Martinique is not a French colony, it's a French department and region, which means that everyone there has the same rights as everyone in mainland, with additional support due to the remoteness (low airfares, special tax regimes, unemployment benefits...), and local autonomous government for many issues (education, taxes...).
As all the others French overseas department, it's a pole of wealth in an environment of poverty, and the economical gradient is sometimes disturbing neighbouring economies.

You can pay to have your flag sent into space by amateur rocketeers: www.jpaerospace.com/ It costs only US $400. Vikesland did it. Its one of that micronation's greatest "achievements".

Now it seems that showing a flag at the Louvre's pyramid is becoming a "must do".
I like this.

Interesting pic of Lake Hume. I'll take you up to Lake Wyangala when you visit Aurora - it's only 50km away; it's currently at only 5% capcity. Here's a picture I took of it in winter 2003; it's much worse now: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Wyangala_Dam_31072003.jpg

Hello and enjoy our latest pictures from Basel / Basle / Bâle / Basilea! The city is quite small but very enjoyable. Many thanks to Deutsche Bahn for their discounted sleeping coach tickets which made our expedition possible. ;D
