To All Great Nations!
As you all know, the primary motivation of the Viridian Realm has always been the protection of the Mother who gave birth to all peoples, no matter where they live… the Earth. On earth Day, 2003,a small group of caring micronations got together -- actually spending money -- and started an organization which, even though no such meeting took place -- was poised to sit on a great council held in cyberspace, and would have been one of many eco-friendly nations (both micro-and macro-), for the Earth. It was an amazing event….
We counted such nations among us as Molossia, the NFA, Thornley, Alteria, Kato, Eslo, the Micronational News Network, and Lassaira…. And we started to attack the growing apathy for the Mother Earth in our own rather unique "micro-way."
But micronational growth has a habit of becoming dormant, and 2003 was no different. Nations became insular, concerned with their own problems, and ENVIROME did what all other natural, growing things did; we kept our infrastructure, and waited for the next rainfall, ever mindful of the distant horizon..
Ladies and gentlemen, that storm is coming… don't you hear the thunder in the distance? We have been joined by the Holy Empire of Reunion, Cadan of Apiya, and, through the good graces of Chas Jago of Alteria, a new URL: www.envirome.info (which points to a new Proboards forum (part of the Micronational Radio Network.
I came here, to this forum, to be part of something great, and the people here are very special to me and to TorHavn. I know in my heart that the problems of our "little blue marble" that sustains us is no less important to all of you as it is to us… so I'm inviting you to join a rebeginning movement (one that I most sincerely hope won't be dying on us any time soon.
Somehow, I feel that such a portent might spell disaster in its own unique, "macro-way." For often, does not what happens locally make itself felt globally?
