Greetings to All !!
To those MicroAmericans who observe or celebrate the 4th of July ( Independence Day ), may your day be safe. _____________________________________________
Now.....
What is your micronation's day of liberation ?
The Imperium's National Day of Celebration is: September, 6th; which is known as our "Declaration of Liberation" Day, which was first declared *Officially* in the year 1996.
-----------------------------------------------------------
MicroHistory 101:
The Imperium's "Dream" is over a half-century in the making; as it was born within my 8th or 9th year of life, as a boy who expanded his and his family's and friend's game of "Army", into a much more expansive physical role-playing game, with territory to be secured and taken, and "Capital Cities" ( barns ) to be built and conquered; which eventually evolved into it's own, as a sort of on-going and never-ending geo-political-military series of "games", which consumed much of our free time, and it was much more detailed and refined than the normal childhood "game of army" of those days. ( i.e. it took on a "life of it's own" )
And to this very day.....our childhood "Dream" lives on.
Regards to All !! ______________

Some observations: "Cesidian root" sounds like some sort of medicinal plant. Descartes has not been beatified. Descartes University was founded in 1971.

Some observations: "Cesidian root" sounds like some sort of medicinal plant. Descartes has not been beatified. Descartes University was founded in 1971.Saint René Descartes is the first saint of the Cesidian Church. He was beatified by the Bishop of the Cesidian Church on 28 November 2007, and was consecrated saint through a canonization process on 13 December 2007: www.openpr.com/news/33949The Episcopal and Lutheran Churches in the USA have feast days dedicated to Martin Luther King Jr., while most other churches do not consider him a saint. The situation is similar with the Cesidian Church and Saint René Descartes. Also, it is not unusual for Cesidian Church Bishops to consecrate saints, as the same powers are invested in Bishops of the Orthodox Christian Church, who may perform "glorifications" within their diocese. Saint René Descartes University is not the same university as René Descartes: strdu.comThe former calls René Descartes a saint, while the latter honours the French philosopher, mathematician, scientist, and writer as a secular genius only.

Interesting. How many adherents does the Cesidian Church have? ...there is only one Cesidian, and he is also the Bishop. Why does a religion require a bishop (or, indeed, any formal hierarchy at all) if it only has 1 member? This strikes me as akin to trying to build a house from the roof down. To paraphrase Ralph from The Simpsons: that's unpossible! ...the Bible is full of deliberate and non-deliberate errors and omissions introduced over the centuries, and therefore it lacks legitimate scholarly rigour. The Bible is not an historical text; it is a collection of myths and elaborative histories designed to underpin a system of non-scientific beliefs. Scholarly rigour can certainly be applied to the study of the context of the Bible's creation, but not to the beliefs contained within it, because they are inherently unproveable, and thus, unscientific.

All religions or religious philosophies started with one member at one time George. All of them. Some religions grew very fast with the help of the sword or state authority. Others grow more slowly and by less violent means.
Before the numbers are large enough to justify a religious group being defined a 'congregation', being a bishop is advantageous because only a bishop can ordain priests and/or consecrate other bishops. Also, even universities have hierarchies, so this is nothing new or strictly religious. Some are called students. Some are called associate professors. And the old boys are called professors. This corresponds roughly with believers, priests, and bishops.
Beliefs can also be rational, such as those underlying good philosophies or ethical behaviour. It is for this reason that the Bible is not the only resource a Cesidian uses. Our beliefs have to be at least rational, and a lot of the Bible isn't even that.

Molossia was founded as the Grand Republic of Vuldstein (different name, same me) on May 2th 1977, celebrated every year as Founder's Day, usually with a nice little party in Norton Park.

The Formori Institute was founded in October 1991 but we forgot the exact date (we did not realize that we were actually making history !).

Those who set out to make history rarely do.
Those who actually do make history rarely set out to do so.
