In almost every circumstance, surrender is preferrable to violence, especially in the case of any micronation confronted by a macro state!
Greetings !!
Agreed...especially with any level of "macro" authority;
however, there are times in one's life, when one must
take a stand and defend his or her or another's honor
or life even.
( a "no-brainer"...never ever think one can challenge a "macro" )
The primary point of my message was originally directed
as to whether or not any micronationalist was in a position
to protect his or her property and/or people, if there to ever
be a situation that would require one to stand and fight,
instead of running with one's tail between one's legs.
I do not advocate violence, nor have I ever "picked a fight";
however, as a veteran of the Vietnam War, and one who has
had to preserve and protect our property and our people at
various times in my life, I am inclined to stock an armory of
sorts, and to even go as far as to demand that members of
my Family learn the basic principles of self-defense.
( in today's world, sometimes life warrants survival techniques )
For those who have never had to defend oneself or another
person, my view on this topic might appear to be a bit over
the top; however, for those who have similar-to-identical life
experiences that involve / include weapons and defense, then
these individuals might have a clearer idea as to the main point
of my message.
It would be my hope that no one here at this micro-forum has to
ever be put into a position that requires one to have to commit a
personal sacrifice, or carry out a decision that resorts to personal
survival; however, it is my firm belief, that no harm is committed
when anyone learns how to defend himself or herself, and that
includes not only firearms training, but martial arts as well.
( "best to be safe than sorry"...it's a wicked world in which we live...and die in )
Regards !!
