He retired to the Sanctuary for Special, Challenged and Isolated Micronationalists, aka Open Micronational Forum (no offence ) due to the fact that this forum infringes on his interpretation of the freedom of religion. Oh well.
Greetings to All !!
No offense taken....as I am an Admin over @ the Open
MicroForum as well; but I must take a defense, on behalf
of the membership over at the Open MicroForum, especially
since, a good number of micronationalist here at the LOM,
are also registered members there.
In my opinion...both MicroForums ( LOM & OPEN ) offer
each membership a different "spin" on micronationalism;
and to disregard the significance of choice and variety,
is to limit oneself from opportunity !!
Neither MicroForum can offer "everything" to "everyone";
and so, I've found over the last many years, that it is nice
to have a "2nd Home" to go to...in the event...of an event...
that eventually causes a MicroForum to vanish and vacate.
( i.e. too-too many MicroForums...in too-too few years...Y.A.M.O. )
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With regards and respect to the too-often "Tallini-Bashing" that
occurs; I would / could only offer this:...over the many years that
I have gotten to know Governor Tallini, I have defended his right
as a micronationalist; due to the fact that he has "brought to the
table" many ideas that are utilized within the Greater MicroSphere.
To ignore his contributions...is to be ignorant of micronational
history; in spite of the fact that he does create an atmosphere
of unrest at times, between himself and others who are just as
strong-minded I might also add. ( a matter of fact...like it or not )
I too have had my dealings with Governor Tallini; however, in the
long-haul, and after the dust from our verbal attacks has settled,
we two have always managed to respect each other's views,
even though we may be millions of miles apart on the issues.
Just as in the "macro" comunity of nations, the Greater MicroSphere
has micronations and micronationalist who are viewed by a few
who accept "unique" opinions, when the majority reject such;
however, respect between micronations has to be paramount
if the Micronational Movement is to ever attain it's potential,
regardless of the vast varieties and versions of visions within
the diversities of micronationalism.
Which is to say...in another way:...
"we're all in this together,
so make the best of it; and maybe in the process...everyone
can gain a thing or two".
OR......
The "macro" community of nations has it's list of leaders who
are "unique", and so does the Greater MicroSphere; and to have
two sides and views to micronational issues, gives both sides a
means of
*balance*...as no one ( NO ONE !! ) has all of the answers.
i.e. Each and every scale needs it's counterweight; so that there
is evidence of existence...an existence that has opposition, which
will strengthen one's own position when one has to defend his
or her opinions and views.
( point-counter-point / keep us on our toes / cuss & discusss )
Afterall, one would be bored stiff...if...there were no *Tallinis* out
there in the Greater MicroSphere; to give one the opportunites to
present and defend one's own points, or for the opportunities to
try and defeat him in debates and discussions.
No one needs to "accept" another's *personal* and/or *professional*
views; but on the same token, no one should single-handedly
"reject" another's views due to one's own views...nor show no
"respect" for different *personal* and/or *professional* opinions
and views.
"Variety is a Spice of Life"...&...
"The More the Merrier".
Just my personal opinions...based upon years of observation
and participation within the Greater MicroSphere.
Regards to All !!
