Samoa today became the first country in the world since the 1970s to change the side of the road on which cars are driven: news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/8243110.stmThe change is motivated by a desire to acquire right-hand drive vehicles from expatriate Samoans living in Australia and New Zealand, as they're much cheaper to import than left-hand drive cars from the USA.

Yes, my step-mother is a Samoan and 3 of my half-brothers are half-islander. They have a very large extended family which sometimes visit. I recently saw me (step)grandmother who comes to live with my father's family semi-permanently whenever she can get a visiting visa, and my (step)grandfather who was just visiting for a few weeks. My family is awfully complicated to someone who doesn't experience it ;D
