Greetings !!
Great topic..........
..........
In the Greater Imperial Commonwealth of Micronations
( i.e. Imperium, PROG, FREE, and Parkistan OverSight ),
there exist three classifications for individuals:
Citizens ( Family & Friends ), Subjects ( Employees ), and
Protectorates ( Protected People / Renters ).
Citizen status is comprised predominantly of Family and
Friends; with a few Subjects granted special status as an
Imperial Citizen over the years.
Subject status is comprised of employees ( Full-Time & Part-Time ).
Protectorate status is comprised of property renters.
In all cases however, an individual must be "physically" attached
to the sovereign soils of the Imperial Commonwealth; in that, we
require all Citizens, Subjects, and Protectorates to reside within
the borders of the member-states of the Imperial Commonwealth,
or at the very least within close proximity.
( i.e. if we need you...Family, Friends, Employees...be here ASAP )
( i.e. All Protectorates / Renters do reside within the Imperium's borders )
Such a requirement rejects any possibility for "Virtual Citizenship";
thereby, making the concept of "InterNet Citizens" being a status
that does not meet with our MicroGovt's rules and regulations.
( i.e. our govt needs to be able to operate from a "hands-on" position,
due to the unique approach we have with regards to micronationalism )
This is not to suggest that "Virtual Citizenship" / "InterNet Citizens"
are not a valuable asset to some micronations; as such a classification
has proven to be the foundation for a great many micronations.
The Government of the Imperial Commonwealth experimented
with the idea of "Virtual Citizenship" / "InterNet Citizens" several
years ago; however, do to the unique structure of our micronation,
as well as the fact that there were those who only petitioned for
Citizenship status so as to be able to attempt an attack at our
virtual infrastructures, I banned such status from any member-state
of the Imperial Commonwealth.
Once again.....another great topic !

NOTE:
The Imperial Government exercises various levels / degrees of
authority over it's Citizens, Subjects, and Protectorates; with
Citizens and Subjects being under more control than Protectorates,
since Protectorates ( Renters ) are more of a semi-quasi-classification
than the other two classes.
