Greetings to All !!
Does your Great State have a succession of rulers of the same line of descent, a dynasty of sorts, which would / could take command and control of the State of Affairs upon your vacancy; or does your Great State elect the leadership of their MicroGovt ?
NOTE: Head of State and Government usually being one-and-the-same; and the rule in most cases of micronationalism, instead of the exception.

No dynasty in the Republic of Talossa. We're electing a President once a year, only two consecutive terms are allowed. The powers of our President are limited, at least as long as we are living in peace with our neighbours.
Theoretically the President is presiding meetings of the government (beyond his representative duties), but as we're seldom meeting for real, I never saw it happen - not even in fictitious meetings, such as governmental debates via mail lists or some such. Well, maybe other Presidents and other governments did it in a different way, I can only say what I encountered.

Atlantium is strongly opposed to the notion of dynastic succession; none of my immediate family are citizens (although some of my extended family are).
The Imperial Succession is determined by way of election, by and from amongst a non-hereditary meritocratic nobility. It is designed to ensure the head of state is always chosen from amongst the subset of society comprised of the "best" citizens.
I understand that such a system was unsuccessfully advocated by one of the lesser-known signatories to the US Declaration of Independence.
