When I think of real, physical "micronational wonders" I tend to think of things that serve some specific micronational purpose - eg, structures, facilities, monuments, locations etc that would not exist if the micronation itself did not exist.
Hutt River Principality has a number of such structures and monuments, including a purpose built chapel, post office, administration offices, independence monument, monuments to Prince Leonard - and even a corrugated steel "Pyramid of Hutt", which reflects Prince Leonard's longstanding personal interest in various new age philosophies:
I'd also count most of the projects in Kevin Baugh's backyard as "micronational wonders", as they've been constructed with specific micronational themes in mind, eg the "Tower of the Winds", "Peace Pole", "Norton Park", and most recently a rather amusing little "Post Office":
As far as Atlantium goes, construction of our
Foundation Monument is presently underway at Concordia, Aurora. It consists of three 5 metre flagpoles fronting a paved area roughly 5m
2 in extent, upon which a 2 metre-high white quartz cairn with bronze plaque will be built. The site is on a prominent hillside location, and can be seen for miles in all directions. One of the flagpoles has already been installed, and the other two will be installed by this time next week. Stand by for pictures!
Aside from that, some of our other planned structures and monuments include:
The Rotunda - conceived as our prime commemorative monument, and the global physical "centre of the Empire". It will consist of a simple 3 metre diameter circle of paving with a perimeter of concrete Tuscan columns supporting a circular entablature.
The Pyramid of the Dawn - a concrete-block structure based loosely on the Pyramids of Nubia:
Our pyramid will have a 3m
2 footprint (about the same size as the one on the left in the above pic), be sited at the top of Capital Hill, and house a copy of the Constitution.
The Domus Stella (House of Stars) - a small octagonal glass-walled, glass-roofed, hilltop observatory, inspired by Tycho Brahe's
Uraniborg.
The House of Contemplation - a secular "chapel" in a quiet bushland setting.
The Amphitheatre - an outdoor public performance/ceremonial venue seating about 50, located in a modified natural hillside amphitheatre.
Work on the Rotunda and Pyramid is due to commence in the next couple of months.
